Cerner CEO Neal Patterson, a ‘legend’ and ‘inspirational visionary,’ dies from cancer at age 67

Neal Patterson, co-founder and CEO of Cerner and a recognized leader in the health IT industry, died on Sunday following complications from an ongoing bout with cancer. Patterson was 67. Cerner’s co-founder, Cliff Illig called Patterson’s passing “a profound loss.”
