As more high-acuity procedures, including spine procedures, have migrated to the outpatient setting, a number of new spine-focused ASCs have been planned in the U.S.
By 2028, 88% of spinal decompressions and laminectomies and 67% of cervical spinal fusions are expected to be performed in the outpatient setting, according to a report from TriasMD, the parent company of Newport Beach, Calif.-based DISC Surgery Center.
Here are 10 new spine ASCs that have opened or been planned since the beginning of 2025:
1. Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists has opened an orthopedic and spine ASC in Lafayette, La., that will house eight operating rooms and feature orthopedic robots. Surgeons at the facility will perform total joint replacements, minimally invasive spine surgery and interventional treatments.
