Becker’s reported on 13 new ASC developments in April:
1. Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health broke ground on a new outpatient surgical center in Leland, N.C.
2. The Empire Center for Special Surgery on Staten Island recently opened in New York.
3. Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on a $78 million outpatient surgery center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
4. Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine broke ground on a multispecialty outpatient center in Montgomeryville, Pa.
5. Portland, Maine-based InterMed, a physician-owned practice, is opening a medical office building and an ASC in Scarborough, Maine.
6. Charlotte, N.C.-based Novant Health broke ground on a medical office building that will offer a range of specialty services.
7. Morgantown-based West Virginia University Health System revealed more than $460 million in new capital projects across the state, one of which will be a $48 million outpatient center in Bridgeport, W.Va.
8. The Institute for Advanced Reconstruction opened a new facility in Red Bank, N.J.
9. New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery opened new ASCs in Paramus and Mahwah, both in New Jersey.
10. U.S. Orthopaedic Partners and Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center began construction on an ASC in Alexandria, La.
11. Orlando Health opened the Winter Garden (Fla.) Surgery Center.
12. Florence, S.C.-based McLeod Health completed construction on its $20 million ASC in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
13. Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists in Lafayette opened its ASC.
