As the demand for cardiovascular services rises nationwide, many health systems, hospitals and ASCs are looking to expand their cardiovascular service lines.
Here are 14 organizations with new cardiology developments in 2025, as reported by Becker’s:
1. Doylestown (Pa.) Hospital opened a new cardiovascular lab. The Gorkysky Heart and Vascular Suite will include an advanced hybrid procedural room and six catheterization and electrophysiology labs.
2. Winchester, Va.-based Valley Health opened a new cardiac and vascular diagnostic center. The new center, a department of Winchester Medical Center, will provide echocardiography, stress testing and vascular studies in a singular dedicated location
3. Gary, Ind.-based Methodist Hospitals invested in Philips’ portfolio of image-guided therapy tools that integrate imaging systems and software. The suites support several specialties, including stroke treatment, oncology therapies and complex cardiovascular intervention.
4. Greensburg, Pa.-based Independence Health System opened a cardiology services facility, including an outpatient anticoagulation clinic. The facility will also feature an interventional cardiology suite, a cardiac surgery suite, a heart failure clinic, and a cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac device clinic.
5. The University of Miami Health System UHealth cardiology program added UHealth Doral, a new cardiology clinic. Ralph Nader, MD, a cardiologist with more than three decades of experience, will provide care at the practice in Doral, Fla.
6. Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Medical Group created a cardiology medical practice with two locations in Pennsylvania.
7. Greenbrae, Calif.-based MarinHealth launched a cardiothoracic surgery program at the MarinHealth Heart and Vascular Institute.
8. Morgantown-based West Virginia University Heart and Vascular Institute partnered with Parkersburg (W.Va.) Cardiology Associates. The integration will expand access to advanced heart care services and provide additional resources and support to Parkersburg Cardiology Associates.
9. Amavita Heart and Vascular Health opened a multimillion-dollar cardiovascular ASC in Miami. The new center is the first dedicated cardiovascular ASC in the region.
10. Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia partnered with Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine and other undisclosed parties to open a $10 million cardiology ASC in King of Prussia, Pa. The 13,100-square-foot facility will house three operating rooms, one procedure room and 12 patient bays.
11. Tri-City Cardiology, a Mesa, Ariz.-based cardiologist group, will open a location within a new medical office complex in San Tan Valley, Ariz., featuring an ASC, pharmacy and rehabilitation center.
12. Endeavor Health opened a cardiovascular center at its Edward Hospital campus in Naperville, Ill., the first in the Chicago area to operate a cardiac outpatient surgery center.
13. New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health will open a new cardiac catheterization lab at Lenox Health Greenwich Village, an ASC and satellite emergency department in New York City.
14. APEX Vascular Outpatient Center opened the only specialized vascular ASC in the state in Lenoir City, Tenn.
