Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn., plans to launch the state’s first certified anesthesiologist assistant master’s program.
According to an April 23 news release, students may complete their degree in 24 months. The program includes coursework in pharmacology, airway management, perioperative assessments, anesthesia monitoring and technology.
The university will require incoming students to complete the MCAT or GRE exam and will give preference to students who have a pre-professional undergraduate degree and work experience in healthcare.
