Anesthesiologist launches US Pain initiative

Pain management specialist and anesthesiologist Paul Lynch, MD, has launched a new chronic pain management initiative, US Pain.

US Pain currently has clinics in Arizona, California, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Kansas and Nevada, but is actively looking for physician partners in all 50 states, according to an April 17 press release sent to Becker’s.

The initiative aims to close gaps in chronic pain care by integrating mental health support, substance abuse treatment and pain management into one place.

Dr. Lynch is also passionate about reducing the number of opioid prescriptions dispensed in the U.S. annually by relying on other methods of chronic pain management.

US Pain clinicians will rely on conservative pain treatment measures and addressing psychological barriers to addiction and care.

Dr. Lynch will be joined in his efforts by a medical advisory board of more than 40 physicians from diverse specialties across the nation, according to the release.
