Nashville, Tenn.-based physician group Envision Healthcare is exiting imaging. Its 400 radiologists will join El Segundo, Calif.-based Radiology Partners.
Here are five things to know about the exit:
1. According to an April 30 news release, the transition agreement will shift Envision’s 400 radiologists to employment by Radiology Partners.
2. The agreement seeks to avoid disruptions to patient and client services across 95 locations, including on-site and teleradiology services.
3. “This transition underscores the strength of our mission, our differentiated service offering, the trust we build with clients and the practice environment our teams have created,” said Rich Whitney, CEO of Radiology Partners. “We are honored to be in a position to support patients, clients and the Envision radiology team through this critical transition of care.”
4. Radiology Partners is physician-owned and works with more than 3,400 hospitals and healthcare facilities.
5. Envision has been working to restructure itself over the last two years, which included filing for Chapter 11 protection in 2023.
