Dartmouth Health names ambulatory medical director

Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center has appointed Eric Epstein, MD, as ambulatory medical director.

Dr. Epstein has more than 20 years of leadership experience in academic medicine. In the role, he will provide leadership in the design, development and implementation of improvements to outpatient access and clinical services, according to a May 15 news release from Dartmouth Health. 

In addition, Dr. Epstein was named vice chair of clinical operations of the department of medicine.

Dr. Epstein joins Dartmouth Health from Montefiore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as professor of medicine, vice chair for clinical affairs, and interim chair of the department of medicine. 

The appointment is effective in June, the release said.
