Cardiologists on the move in the 1st half of 2025

Here are more than 15 cardiologists who joined new hospitals, health systems, centers and more, as reported by Becker’s during the first half of the year.

  1. The University of Miami Health System UHealth cardiology program added Ralph Nader, MD. 
  2. Jack Sun, MD, was appointed to lead the cardiovascular surgery program at Newport Beach, Calif.-based Hoag’s Jeffrey M. Carlton Heart & Vascular Institute. 
  3. MemorialCare Heart & Vascular Institute at Saddleback Medical Center added Asad Shah, MD, and Timothy Lee, MD. 
  4. Coral Terrace, Fla.-based Nicklaus Children’s Hospital appointed Shyam Sathanandam, MD, as chief of cardiovascular medicine.
  5. Mishawaka, Ind.-based Franciscan Physician Network added Amit Kumar, MD.
  6. Boynton Beach, Fla.-based Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group added Brijeshwar Maini, MD.
  7. Randolph Hutter, MD, joined Great Falls (Mont.) Hospital Heart Center.
  8. NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn in New York City named Noritsugu Naito, MD, as its first chief of cardiac surgery. 
  9. Hendersonville, N.C.-based UNC Health Pardee added Kristine Falk, MD.
  10. AdventHealth Lake Wales (Fla.) expanded its staff by adding Saiyed Mohib, MD.
  11. Oklahoma City-based University of Oklahoma College of Medicine named Isabella Grumbach, MD, PhD, as chair of the department of internal medicine and clinical service chief at OU Health. 
  12. Springfield, Ill.-based Prairie Cardiovascular added Jeetendra Patel, MD, to its staff.
  13. Danville, Va.-based Sovah Health added Mohammed Akhter, MD, to its medical staff.
  14. Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Holy Cross Medical Group Group added Laura Verde, MD.
  15. Wilmington, Del.-based ChristianaCare added cardiology services to its primary care practice in West Grove, Pa., with the addition of cardiologist Ronald Lewis, DO.
  16. AdventHealth Medical Group added Eric Guerra, MD, to its team of cardiologists.
  17. Boynton Beach, Fla.-based Palm Beach Health Network Physician Group added Tilak Pasala, MD.
  18. Interventional cardiologist Timothy Bowen, MD, joined the Baxter Health Cardiovascular Clinic.
