BayCare taps chief ambulatory services officer for dual role

Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System has named its chief ambulatory services officer, C. Todd Jones, chief strategy officer.

Mr. Jones will now hold a dual title, remaining BayCare’s chief ambulatory services officer, in which he is responsible for ensuring alignment across ambulatory services, including the health system’s laboratory, home care, imaging, ambulatory surgery, telehealth and urgent care services, according to a June 24 news release.

As chief strategy officer, Mr. Jones will be responsible for shaping BayCare’s long-term direction and driving the assessment, development and execution of business strategies.

Mr. Jones first joined BayCare as vice president for ambulatory services in 2018 and became chief ambulatory services officer in 2023.

He has been responsible for expanding BayCare’s outpatient footprint, adding multiple ambulatory care sites and launching programmatic initiatives that led to BayCare ASCs being recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
