Cardiology was one of four physician specialties that saw a decrease in compensation from 2023 to 2024, according to Medscape’s “Physician Compensation Report 2025.“
Dermatology saw the greatest decrease in compensation, dropping 5% between 2023 and 2024. The other three specialties that saw decreases in pay were:
- Cardiology: 1% decrease
- Urology: 2% decrease
- Neurology: 3% decrease
