Here are three accreditation updates Becker’s has reported on since Oct. 23:

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, the nation’s leader in ambulatory health accreditation with more than 6,700 organizations, has named new officers and elected personnel to its board of directors for 2023 and 2024. 

DISC Surgery Center at Marina del Rey (Calif.) earned accreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, according to an Oct. 30 news release.

The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, an accreditor of more than 6,700 ambulatory sites nationwide, has updated its recommendations for treating surgical patients with obesity and obstructive sleep apnea. 

Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center has become the first facility in the nation to earn a Health Care Equity Certification from The Joint Commission. 

The Laredo, Texas-based Cigarroa Surgical Center has been accredited by The Joint Commission, according to a June 25 report from LMTOnline.

Sharon Edwards Laskowski, BSN, director of safety and high reliability at Advent Health in Altamonte Springs, Fla., shared questions to ask when evaluating the safety and reliability of practice leadership at ASCs.

Lexington (Ky.) Plastic Surgery has been accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities. 

The Joint Commission, in partnership with the National Quality Forum, has announced the recipients of the 2022 John M. Eisenberg Patient Safety and Quality Awards, with honorees including individual physicians and care organizations. 

The Santa Ynez (Calif.) Tribal Health Clinic, located on the Santa Ynez Reservation, has renewed its national accreditation from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, according to a Jan. 4 report from Noozhawk.
