The American Academy of Emergency Medicine Physician Group plans to continue its federal suit against Envision Healthcare despite the company filing for bankruptcy, KFF Health News reported May 12.

Envision Healthcare has reached a restructuring agreement with its stakeholders, including ASC management center AmSurg, after announcing plans to file for bankruptcy. AmSurg plans to purchase the ASCs held by Envision. 

Payers are constantly changing prior authorization rules, keeping physicians and physician staff on their toes over what procedures may or may not be approved.
