Austin (Texas) Regional Clinic has broken ground on a 65,000-square-foot, two-story ASC and specialty clinic, according to a Sept. 20 report from Community Impact.
A July 2023 study by RAND found that most physicians working in vertically integrated hospitals or health systems were 65% less likely to use ASCs for procedures, compared to physicians who were never a part of a vertically integrated system.
ASCs are facing rising challenges with Medicare Advantage plans, including escalating implant costs, frequent reimbursement denials and increasing administrative hurdles that complicate patient care and financial stability.
