The U.S. Treasury Department is offering up to $10 million for information on the leaders of a cybercriminal gang that has repeatedly hacked hospitals.

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago confirmed Feb. 8 that is the victim of a cyberattack by a “known criminal threat actor.”

The FBI has launched an investigation into the cybersecurity incident happening at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, CBS reported Feb. 7.

Chicago-based Lurie Children’s Hospital is looking into a “cybersecurity issue” as its computers, internet and phones continue to be offline for the sixth consecutive day, contributing to a systemwide network outage.

Brewer, Maine-based Northern Light Health took its EHR offline Feb. 3 after some of its servers were compromised, according to a notice on the health system’s website.

Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago said it took its IT systems offline as it deals with a “cybersecurity matter.”
