The following hospital and health system COO moves have been reported by Becker’s since June 6:

King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services has appointed Maria Zangardi as senior vice president, human resources and corporate officer, effective immediately. Ms. Zangardi will succeed Gerry Geckle who is retiring.

Cincinnati, Ohio-based Bon Secours Mercy Health has tapped Victor Sprague as CFO of the Jewish Hospital and Mercy Kings Mills Hospital, both in Cincinnati, according to a July 16 LinkedIn post. 

Hunter Nostrant was named president of MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. He will begin Sept. 1.

Heather Havericak was named CEO of Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Fla., according to a hospital news release shared with Becker’s. 

Jennifer Savage, who had been serving as interim CEO of Warm Springs-based Montana State Hospital since January, is no longer a state employee, a spokesperson for the Department of Public Health and Human Services, confirmed to Becker’s.

Escondido, Calif.-based Palomar Health has appointed Russ Riehl interim president of its medical group.

Here are five health systems that have made chief revenue cycle officer hires in 2024: 

Good Samaritan Hospital has appointed Brenda Winkler, MSN, RN, to the role of chief nursing officer. Ms. Winkler has worked with the Vincennes, Ind.-based hospital for 37 years. 

Atlanta-based Emory Healthcare has named Jamie Watson chief revenue cycle officer, according to a July 14 post on his LinkedIn page.
