Eric Kleinert, MSN, RN, has been named chief administrative officer of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway (N.J.), effective Dec. 31.

While many hospital and health system CEOs who took on new roles in 2024 switched organizations or facilities, a few stood out for returning to a former workplace.

Molly Frick has been named interim chief human resources officer for Huntington, W.Va.-based Marshall Health Network, effective Jan. 2.

St. Louis-based Mercy has appointed John Mohart, MD, as executive vice president and COO, marking the first time a physician will fill this role at the 50-hospital health system.

Little Rock, Ark.-based CHI St. Vincent has appointed Garrett Lewis, MD, as market chief medical officer, according to a news release sent to Becker’s Dec. 17. 

Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health, a five-hospital system, has promoted Melissa Shearer to the new role of vice president, strategy. 

Dave Tkachuck has been named president and CEO of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth La Grange (Ill.), effective Jan. 6.

Tyler Sherrill has been named CEO of Tenet Healthcare’s Florida Coast Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, which is set to open in September 2025.
