Houston Methodist has tapped Anthony DeFurio as executive vice president and CFO. Mr. DeFurio succeeds Kevin Burns, who retired at the end of September, according to an Oct. 2 news release shared with Becker’s. 

Larry Meese, CEO of Zachary, La.-based Lane Regional Medical Center, will retire Oct. 31.

Two health systems have new leadership after recent departures of CEOs who had long years of service with their respective organizations.
