Philadelphia-area hospitals and health systems have experienced a busy year of leadership turnover, with eight changes in more than eight months, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

After more than three decades at the helm of Houston-based Texas Children’s, Mark Wallace will retire from his role as CEO on Oct. 4. 

New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System named Lisa Stump chief digital information officer and dean for IT of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, Alaska, has appointed Joe Wanner CEO, effective Sept. 29. 

At the end of the year, Lynn Simon, MD, will retire from her role as president of healthcare innovation and chief medical officer at Community Health Systems. She will continue to work with the Franklin, Tenn.-based system as a consultant. 

Norfolk, Neb.-based Faith Regional Health Services has named Brenda Baker vice president of finance and CFO, according to a Sept. 10 post from her LinkedIn page. 

Lisa Tzanakis has been appointed COO of HCA Florida Ocala Hospital and HCA Florida West Marion Hospital in Ocala, effective Sept. 10.

John Byrnes, MD, has been named chief quality officer and senior vice president of quality and safety at McLeod Health, a nonprofit system based in Florence, S.C., according to a Sept. 11 news release sent to local media outlets. 

Denver Health has named April Audain CFO, according to a post on her LinkedIn page. 

Robert Nelson, BSN, RN, was named CEO of Big Bend Regional Medical Center in Alpine, Texas.
