Kirk McCarty, MSN, RN, became CEO of Kansas City, Mo.-based Research Medical Center, an affiliate of HCA Midwest Health, on Sept. 3. The move comes three months after he took over as CEO of another HCA hospital.

William “Pat” Patton was named administrator of Saint Luke’s Health System critical access hospitals in Kansas. 

After less than a year in the role, Christopher Bjornberg is no longer CEO of Brawley, Calif.-based Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District, the hospital board confirmed in a statement shared with Becker’s on Sept. 9.

Jessica Thompson Melton will join UF Health Oct. 14 as chief transformation officer, the Gainesville, Fla.-based system said in a Sept. 9 news release. 

Jim Andrews has been named president and CEO of Brown Mills, N.J.-based Deborah Heart and Lung Center, effective Sept. 9.

UChicago Medicine’s chief equity officer, Brenda Battle, BSN, RN, will retire at the end of the year, the academic health system said Sept. 9. 

Trinity Health and The Valley Health System were among the hospitals and health systems that tapped new CFOs in August. 

 Brentwood, Tenn.-based TriStar Health, an affiliate of HCA Healthcare, has appointed Ajit Singh, MD, as division chief medical officer.

Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly has tapped Lucas Montarce as its new executive vice president and CFO, effective immediately. Mr. Montarce was also named a member of Eli Lilly’s executive committee, according to a Sept. 9 news release.

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has named Christopher Fontes as Northern California executive director of revenue cycle, according to a Sept. 7 post on his LinkedIn page.
