For-profit American Healthcare Systems, based in Glendale, Calif., intends to acquire the ProMedica Coldwater (Mich.) Regional Hospital, according to a May 24 news release.

LCMC Health has secured an early win in its legal battle against the Federal Trade Commission after a federal judge in Washington, D.C., ruled that the case should be heard in a federal court in Louisiana, nola.com reported May 25. 

Chicago-based CommonSpirit has teamed up with Siemens Healthineers to acquire Block Imaging, a Michigan-based supplier of imaging parts and services.

HCA Healthcare is set to purchase 41 urgent care centers in Texas from FastMed, the Nashville, Tenn.-based health system said May 18.
