Here are 10 new ASCs opened or announced in January :

Nashville-based HCA Healthcare has proposed a new ASC in Hanover, Va., in the same spot where the system proposed a new hospital one year ago, according to a Feb. 1 report from Richmond Bizsense. 

Here are four ASCs being developed in states that require a certificate of need for surgery centers that Becker’s has reported on since Jan. 3:

Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Halifax Health plans to open a new medical office building in Port Orange, Fla., by the end of 2024, according to a Jan. 31 report from the Daytona Beach News-Journal. 

New York City-based NYU Langone Health has opened a 260,000-square-foot ambulatory center in Garden City, N.Y., in a former Bloomingdale’s and Sears building, according to a Jan. 31 report from the Commercial Property Executive.

Healthcare development is already in full swing for 2024, with ASCs popping up from coast to coast. 

Here are three updates on ASC activity in the South that Becker’s has reported on since Jan. 17:

Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Catholic Health opened an ambulatory care center in Riverhead, N.Y.

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist broke ground on a $78 million ASC in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Chula Vista, Calif.-based Sharp Rees-Stealy Otay Ranch Medical Center is adding a two-story medical office building as part of an $86 million expansion project, according to a Jan. 17 report from KPBS.
