The Southern ASC market has been a hotspot for years — ASCs in that region earn the most revenue and perform the most cases of any region in the country. 

Inspired Spine SurgCenter has opened an ASC with an AI program in Burnsville, Minn., according to a June 20 report from the Observer. 

Several healthcare organizations have expressed interest in investing time and money into ASCs, but Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health is turning those ideas into action.

Here are three health systems and organizations opening new ASCs in Utah that Becker’s has reported on since April 19:

A certificate-of-need has been submitted to the Mississippi State Department of Health for the establishment of a new ASC in Madison, Miss., according to a June 19 report from the Magee News. 

Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital and Yale New Haven (Conn.) Children’s Hospital held a ribbon-cutting for their new pediatric ASC, according to a June 17 report from the Greenwich Free Press. 

Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health opened its seventh ASC in the state with a location in Murray, Utah.

VHC Health in Arlington has opened an outpatient pavilion on the health system’s main campus.
