The Virginia Department of Health has approved surgery provider MedRVA Healthcare’s request to build a $15.4 million surgery center in Chester, Va., Richmond BizSense reported July 3. 

Center for Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics announced the opening of its new 37,992-square-foot surgery center located in Chattanooga, Tenn., on June 29.

Real estate company JLL Capital Markets has arranged a joint venture between Sendero Capital and Angelo Gordon that will allow for $300 million in outpatient real estate investment over the next two years, according to a June 30 report from Boston Real…

Orlando, Fla.-based Bliss Healthcare Services is seeking approval to build a three-story, 78,154-square-foot medical office building that would feature four drive-up “in-car-care” suites, according to a June 30 report from the Orlando Business Journal….

Construction is underway on a 101,136-square-foot medical office building in Scottsdale, Ariz., according to a June 29 report from the Scottsdale Independent. 

Jacksonville, Fla.-based Jax Spine and Pain Centers and the University of Florida Health Jacksonville have completed a 54,000-square-foot medical office building, according to a June 29 report from Healthcare Design magazine. 

Five new orthopedic-focused ASCs opened across the country in June: 

Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health has received approval for its 50-acre expansion plan, which includes more than 1 million square feet of medical office buildings, according to a June 28 report from the Triangle Business Journal.
