E.W. Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Mich., was placed on lockdown April 10 after reports of a man with an AR-15 and a bomb threat against the facility, the Lansing State Journal reported. The lockdown ended when police officers cleared the hospital.

Hartford (Conn.) HealthCare and Hartford-based Connecticut Children’s are partnering to offer what will be the only fetal care center in New England with a dedicated delivery unit.

A 61-year old man is in custody after he barricaded himself in a hospital room at Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center, where his mother was a patient, and with a gun reportedly in the room, according to a March 27 WNYT report.

Albany (N.Y.) Medical Center was on lockdown the afternoon of March 27 after a report of a person inside the hospital with a gun, Spectrum News reported.

A partnership with Greenville County, S.C., has allowed Prisma Health to reopen the emergency department at North Greenville Hospital in Travelers Rest, S.C., which closed in 2020 to care for COVID-19 patients.
