Arizona voters in November overwhelmingly passed a measure designed to reduce interest rates on medical debt, but a judge has temporarily halted the measure from taking full effect, the Arizona Republic reported Dec. 8.

St. Albans, Vt.-based Northwestern Medical Center has named Peter Wright its CEO.

Lance Jones was named CEO of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare’s Chippenham and Johnston–Willis hospitals, both in Richmond, Va.

Gloversville, N.Y.-based Nathan Littauer Hospital was forced to turn away patients for the third time in less than a month amid a surge in seasonal infections such as influenza and an uptick in COVID-19 cases, according to a Daily Gazette report Dec. 9.
