Nurses at Honolulu-based Hawaii Pacific Health’s Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children voted to participate in a one-day strike Sept. 13, according to a Sept. 4 Facebook post from the Hawaii Nurses Association. The hospital has since said it plans to lock out HNA nurses who participate; the measure will be imposed when the strike ends if the union does not accept the health system’s contract offer, according to statements shared with Becker’s.
