Kansas and Medicaid: New Evidence on Potential Expansion and Work Requirements

Kansas has not yet expanded its Medicaid program under the Affordable Care Act, but could choose to do so in the future. If Kansas expanded the program, an estimated 152,000 adults could gain insurance coverage. Newly covered adults would likely experience many of the benefits seen in other states after expanding Medicaid, including better access to care, greater financial security, and improved health and mental well-being.
