Florida has 24,690 nurse practitioners, the most out of any state, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Florida, Texas, California and New York have more than 20,000 nurse practitioners, while five states and Washington, D.C., have less than 1,000.
The agency released updated employment information for dentists to reflect 2024 information on April 2.
In total, there are 307,390 nurse practitioners in the U.S., 27,250 more compared to 2023.
