Personal finance website WalletHub has identified five U.S. cities with the highest medical visit cost as part of its annual ranking of the healthiest and unhealthiest cities in America.
WalletHub determined the 10 healthiest and unhealthiest places to live by comparing 182 U.S. cities, including the 150 most populated cities plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state, across 41 health metrics. One of these metrics included the average cost of a medical visit.
Laredo, Texas, was named the city with the lowest-cost medical visits, while the five cities tying for highest cost were three times more expensive.
Here are the five cities tied for highest-cost medical visits:
- Milwaukee
- Anchorage, Alaska
- Madison, Wis.
