Currently, cardiovascular disease costs the U.S. healthcare system $318 billion, but that cost is expected to rise to $749 billion by 2035, according to a 2025 report from the American Heart and American Stroke Association.
In addition, indirect costs of cardiovascular disease, including lost productivity, are expected to total $368 billion by 2035.
