Here are 10 new ASCs, outpatient centers and medical office buildings that have opened or broken ground in the South, as reported by Becker’s since March 25:
- Charlotte, N.C.-based Novant Health broke ground on a medical office building that will offer a range of specialty services.
- Morgantown-based West Virginia University Health System revealed more than $460 million in new capital projects across the state, one of which will be a $48 million outpatient center in Bridgeport, W.Va.
- U.S. Orthopaedic Partners and Mid State Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center began construction on an ASC in Alexandria, La.
- Charlottesville-based University of Virginia Health System opened an outpatient transplant clinic.
- Orlango Health opened the Winter Garden (Fla.) Surgery Center.
- Florence, S.C.-based McLeod Health completed construction on its $20 million ASC in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
- Louisiana Orthopaedic Specialists in Lafayette opened its ASC.
- The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer in Houston broke ground on a new 470,000-square-foot facility in Sugar Land.
- Mobile, Ala.-based Infirmary Health Center broke ground on an ASC and medical office building in Malbis, Ala.
- Baptist Health System opened a new surgery center in Madison, Miss.
