The 2025 Clinician Workforce Insights Report analyzed components such as historical claim volume, emerging patient trends, facility and organization specific data and geographic trends to assess the current and project demand for physician specialties.
Here are the 10 specialities with the highest provider count:

- Internal medicine physicians
- Pediatrics physicians
- Emergency medicine physicians
- Anesthesiology physicians
- Obstetrics and gynecology physicians
- Diagnostic radiology physicians
- Psychiatry physicians
- Hospitalist physicians
- Surgery physicians
