VCU Health cardiologist to retire after 50 years of service

George Eapen, MD, a cardiologist at VCU Health, is set to retire after five decades in the field.

Dr. Eapen has spent the majority of his cardiology career providing care at VCU Health Pauley Health Center, according to a July 1 news release from VCU Health.

In addition, he served as director of echocardiography at the VCU Health Pauley Heart Center clinic in Colonial Heights, Va., a clinical professor of cardiology at the VCU School of Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

Even though Dr. Eapen is set to retire in July, he is planning to continue providing cardiology care at free clinics, the release said.
