Wyoming targets noncompetes

Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon recently signed a bill into law that will make noncompete clauses illegal in the state, KGAB reported March 25. 

The bill was initially sponsored by state Sen. Tara Nethercott of Laramie. She told the outlet that the bill aims to bolster the state’s economy by removing “artificial” barriers to talent recruitment 

The law takes effect July 1.
