Drug-resistant TB has high fatality and new antibiotics are scarce. A human study shows that bacteriophages might have a role in treating Mycobacterium abscessus, an infection that resembles drug-resistant TB. The door is now open for similar studies in patients with extensively drug-resistant TB.
