Last week, Sen. Booker reintroduced a bill aimed at helping to eliminate what he calls “neglected diseases of poverty.” The Act would facilitate research in diagnostics and treatments, and improve disease surveillance systems and educational programs, as well as prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
