Last week, WHO released the third edition of its Model List of Essential In Vitro Diagnostics (EDL). This edition includes Covid-19 tests, and expands the suite of tests for non-communicable diseases. Country governments must now adopt and adapt the WHO list to improve access to tests on the ground.
